FAMU Alum who helped develop XBox to speak on campus

Benjamin Johnson, a 1998 Computer and Information Systems graduate, who went on to help develop the XBox 360 video game will be the guest lecture at the CIS Department's Distinguished Alumni lecture series on April 11th.

Prior to graduation, Johnson served as the CIS Club junior vice president, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) Club president and wrote for the CIS Times, a student newspaper. Before graduating, Johnson held internships with 3M, Cargill, Eli Lilly, Northwest Airlines and the University of Minnesota Supercomputer Center/Clark Atlanta University.

Johnson earned his master’s in computer science from Michigan State University in 2000.

  2. WOW! this is truly amazing history i did not know. As a 94' FAMU-CIS graduate I'm proud of this fellow alum and i will look at my xbox 360 differently now every time i play it.

    More employment scandals a'coming. I guess not only do we have to hire unqualified staff members, but their family members as well!

    Why not give high salaries to one person, when you can THEN HIRE THEIR SPOUSE and hook them up too.

    FAMU, its time to get a grip. There may just be some actually qualified individuals OUTSIDE staff members other family. Can we please stop only posting important jobs on the FAMU website where there's no national exposure. Its almost blatant that we only want certain individuals instead of the best individuals.

    Are you talking about the possible hiring of the husband of our new Vice President for University Relations for the Associate VP position? Do you expect anything different? FAMU is known for its' kinship and bedship hiring practices.
