Legislative committee praises FAMU for turnaround

The same legislative committee that harshly criticized Florida A&M University last year heaped praise on the university Tuesday for turning around its troubled financial operations.

FAMU President James Ammons took several members of his management team to a meeting of the Joint Legislative Auditing Committee, which last year began monitoring FAMU following a highly critical state audit. Chancellor Mark Rosenberg also attended the meeting to hear about FAMU's progress.
