Democratic presidential hopeful Barrack Obama spoke the largest crowd of his presidential campaign today in Berlin, Germany. The Illinois Senator spoke to an estimated 200,000 people and summoned Europeans and Americans together to "defeat terror and dry up the well of extremism that supports it" as they conquered communism a generation ago.

Speaking not far from where the Berlin Wall once divided the historic city, the Illinois senator said , "The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. "The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes, natives and immigrants, Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand."

Obama drew loud applause as he strode across a large podium erected at the base of the Victory Column in Tiergarten Park in the heart of Berlin. He referred repeatedly to the Berlin airlift, launched by the Allies 60 years ago when the Russians hoped to isolate the Western sector of the city, and drew loud applause by asking our European allies to fight against terrorism, radicalism, nuclear proliferation and global warming. "The burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together. A change of leadership in Washington will not lift this burden."

Rapper calls Fox News racist for attacks on Obama

Nas today, went to the streets to protest Fox News at the networks Manhattan headquarters. Nas took the station to task for what he called, "hate-mongering and fear-mongering at its worst ... Fox's pattern of race-baiting and fear-mongering regularly focuses on black leaders, black institutions and ordinary black people. Like when they used the solemn occasion of Coretta Scott King's funeral to call black leaders racist — that's not acceptable. It's offensive to black Americans, and it's offensive to all Americans."

  3. Obama is a fraud. He has an excellent campaign staff, however, his policy people are absolutely terrible. Its one thing to have no experience leading anything, but its another having nobody around you that can give proper guidance.

  4. 3:06 AM! Please enlighten me as to how you know Sen. Obama's policy people are so terrible. What are you basing your argument on? I havn't seen anyone running for the office that is more qualified than Obama or have anymore experience at being president other than the current president (George W.Bush).

  5. "I havn't seen anyone running for the office that is more qualified than Obama"

    What are his qualifications?
    A community activist.
    A 1/2 term senator.
    Very good orator.
    Nice abs.
    Nice smile.
    ...
Help me add to this list please.

From where I sit, it seems that he has the shortest resume of anyone that has offered themselves as a candidate this time (Democrat or Republican).

Even kooks like Green (communist) Party have a candidate with some significant government experience (Cynthina McKinney - the other black presidential candidate).

Why doesn't McKinney get any press? Isn't she the first black female presidential candidate offered from a national party?

  6. Greens even have a black woman VP! Check it out.

  7. 11:51pm and 3:06am, we got what with you're 2000 and 2004 candidate George Bush? And McCain can't remember what he said from one day to the next! This guy is bordering on the brink of dementia.

As an Independent voter, I'll take my chances with the so-called "inexperienced" candidate with the sharp staff who are actually qualified in their respective fields, rather than a doddering old fool whose staff consist of lobbyist that don't remotely have any of my interests at heart.

Oh, and BTW- "inexperienced" Kennedy and Lincoln gave great speeches, also. ;-)

  8. Ron Paul for President.

  9. 11:57.. thats a good point. What did Lincoln do before president?

Here's another oddity to think about.

Lincoln, a white republican, freed the slaves against the bitter will of the white democratic party. The republicans in congress won the day and the slaves were freed. Perhaps their motives were questionable. Maybe the northern republicans were just trying to protect their lobby by eliminating free labor in the south... but still.. the result is the same. What politician has pure motives?

Given the historical fact that it was the republicans that freed the slaves, and it was the republicans that elected the first black politicians, how did the democrats - from that time to this - come to own the black vote?

Did you know that MLK Jr was a registered republican? Look it up.

  10. We (black folks) have become attached to the Democratic party to our detriment. The Democrats don't pay any attention because our vote is already in pocket, and the Republicans don't pay attention because all there outreach hasn't worked because we believe the white man republican is somehow worse than the white man democrat.

  11. Obama is nothing but a whore for the Democratic party. He even now goes out of his way to mention that he is half white (its true, but why hasn't he been spouting that line throughout his career?).

  12. I thought half white + half black = black. What is up with him talking about being white??
