Via Politico: CBS News' Katie Couric lands the first interview with Joe Wurzelbacher, aka "Joe the Plumber", seen above with Barack Obama. The Holland, Ohio plumber says Obama has a "tap dance...almost as good as Sammy Davis, Jr."
"McCain was solid in his performance," he says. "I still don't know where he stands," he says of Obama. "I'm middle class. I can't have my taxes raised any more."
He also says he actually isn't in the bracket where Obama would raise his taxes -- but he's worried that Obama will shift the bracket down.
He also said that, in his encounter with Obama, the Illinois Senator [has] "a tap dance...almost as good as Sammy Davis, Jr."
Wurzelbacher "declined to say" which candidate would get his vote on Nov. 4.
Oh and after that racist dog whistle, seems to me it's already settled who Wurzelbacher will vote for. Seriously. Please show this man the exit sign, his fifteen minutes are up.
UPDATE: "Joe the Plumber" does not have a plumbing license.

Joe "the plumber" is a fake and was planted by John McCain's campaign. It was all a setup for Joe to approach Obama and get his question on camera for McCain to use later. And he did just that in last night's debate. Many people were fooled by this "fake".

ReplyDelete3:05, by "this," do you mean this "plumber madness" or by "this," do you mean that a spoof of the Obama-McCain debate? SNL will not do a Sammy Davis plumber number on its show, because it's not notable enough, nor does it merit a few worthy minutes of precious air time. In order for a spoof or a satirical moment to be of note the sketch has to have worldwide appeal.
We can, however, all look forward to a spoof on the debate or one on Palin's rhetorical nonsense about Obama "palling around with terroists" comment.
I was referring to SNL spoofing the debate and Joe's 15 minutes of fame. SNL ran its special last night and it was pretty funny.
