James Meade kicked a 39-yard field goal with 16 seconds left to lift Morgan State (6-3, 4-1 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) to a 13-10 win over Florida A&M on Saturday and its fourth consecutive victory.

Morgan State held Florida A&M (6-3, 2-3 MEAC) to 137 yards, including 1 yard in the fourth quarter.

Florida A&M's Eddie Battle was 8 of 14 for 84 yards as the Rattlers' three-game winning streak came to an end. Morgan State never trailed, taking a 3-0 lead with 11 minutes left in the first quarter on Meade's 40-yard field goal. After James' touchdown gave the Bears a 10-0 lead, Florida A&M scored on a 3-yard pass from Curtis Pulley to Mykel Benson with 23 seconds left in the first half.

Florida A&M's Trevor Scott kicked a 37-yard field goal with 8:40 left in the third quarter to tie the score. The Rattlers had a chance to take the lead later in the quarter, but Scott's 43-yard field goal was nullified by a holding penalty. Meade's game-winning field goal came at the end of an 11-play, 41-yard drive.

  1. This was very disappointing. Morgan State played well on defense and pretty much stopped everthing FAMU tried. Its a good thing the Rattlers have NCAT next week. The Aggies are horrible...
