New 2008 iPod Touch PDAs were donated to first year MBA students from the Deere & Company, better known as John Deere. The devices allow students to do podcasting, scheduling, and other internet searches of You Tube, Stock Quotes, and Google inquiries for information; as well as listening to the latest Hip Hop songs from iTunes.
One student was overheard saying, "Nothing Runs Like a Deere."
WOW!
ReplyDeleteThe probably listening to T-Pain with them things !
ReplyDeleteHow about giving the first year students something they could really use, like professional development? Although I am very glad to see companies contributing to SBI I would much rather see that contribution going towards academic programs or technologies utilized by all students (for example the fact that there's only ONE printer in FOUR buildings for HUNDREDS of students is deporable). I am hopeful that things will turn around in SBI and donations will be abundant in the future. :)
ReplyDeleteTo the 11:48 AM comment - Obviously you don't know many MBA candidates do you? We graduate and work overseas in countries like the U.A.E.
ReplyDeleteTo FAMU's #1fan - For those who were undergrad SBIans, four years of PD is enough. If they don't have it by then, they never will.
