After hours of debate, the U.S. House of Representatives narrowly approved a sweeping overhaul of the nation’s health care system. The House passed the $1 trillion the Affordable Health Care for America Act, H.R. 3962, by a vote of 220 to 215 late Saturday night. Thirty-nine Democrats, including Allen Boyd, voted no. Only one Republican, Louisiana's Joseph Cao, voted for the bill.The bill requires individuals to have health insurance and for larger businesses to provide it to their employees. It also includes a public health insurance option not tied to Medicare.
Not sure who Allen Boyd is representing, but it sure ain't me! Time to send him packing!
