The Lady Rattlers upset the UF Gators tonight 72-71 in Gainesville at the O’Connell Center.
The Rattlers came from behind in the first half and never let up with a defensive press that baffled the Gators and silenced the home crowd.
It was FAMU's second victory over a major women’s basketball program in the past three weeks. It defeated South Florida 73-68 in overtime on Nov. 13.
Tuesday’s upset, however, might have come at a cost as senior Deidra Jones went down with an injury with less than two minutes left. Jones wasn’t having her best shooting night with only seven points, but she ran the point efficiently to set up one clutch shot after another.
Go Lady Rattlers!

ReplyDeleteGO Rattlers!!!
As a Gator fan, I'll admit they have not played very well in several games this year. However, when everything is on the line, I believe they can and will do whatever it takes to win. Gators should be always competitive enough to keep pace with the others. I used to attend their games even their tickets get sold out. Luckily I fond a good place to get my seat

Go Gators!! Go Gators!! Go Gators
It's nice to play the Gators. I think we're natural fans anyhow. I'm looking forward to the volleyball showdown. We're gonna get past the Lady Gator volleyball team soon.
