Congressman Kendrick Meek’s underdog bid for the U.S. Senate ended with a third place finish on Tuesday. With 93 percent of Florida precincts reporting, he had 20 percent of the vote.Former Florida House Speaker Marco Rubio won the race with 49 percent. Gov. Charlie Crist came in second with 29 percent.
Meek conceded to Rubio around 8:30 p.m.
