The latest poll by the Tampa Bay (formerly St. Pete) Times/Miami Herald showed that Gov. Rick Scott remains unpopular with the majority of Floridians. Only 29 percent of Florida voters view Scott in a favorable light, while 37 percent view him unfavorably and 30 percent are neutral.
The poll also show that the majority of Floridians (51 percent) disapproved of the Scott's jobs performance while only 40 percent approved, with 9 percent not sure.
The statewide telephone survey of 800 registered voters, all likely to vote in the Nov. 6 general election, was conducted July 9-11 for the two newspapers and contains a margin of error of 3.5 percentage points.
Pollster Brad Coker said: "He (Scott) doesn't even turn Republican voters on, and attributes his low popularity to a lack of communication skills."
"Governor Scott has been a total disaster as Governor. He refused funds for the high speed rail project which would have created jobs and helped the economy. His current hobby of jet-setting internationally make for a great vacation at the expense to the State of Florida. In addition, he tried to destroy K-12 education system and the state university system. I can't wait until the next election," said an online poster who identified herself as Dr. Sonya Urnowey.

Scott is a millionaire and the Scott is a millionaire and the former CEO of the nation's largest for-profit hospital chain, Columbia/HCA. Shortly after he stepped down, the company paid the largest fine for Medicare fraud ever assessed.
