The North Carolina A&T Aggies snapped their nine-game losing streak Saturday with a 16-3 win over the FAMU Rattlers.
The loss dropped FAMU to 3-6 on the season (3-3 MEAC). This season will be FAMU's first losing season since 2007, when the Rattlers finished 3-8 under then Head Football Coach Rubin Carter.
The Rattlers finished the contest with 70 total yards rushing on 29 carries, as Eddie Rocker gained 42 on 16 carries and quarterback Tyler Bass finished with 29 of them on six carries. Bass passed for 183 yards as he completed 26 passes in 36 attempts with one interception.
Lenworth Lennon led the Rattler receivers with 63 yards on 10 catches, followed by Travis Harvey with six catches for 56 yards.
Defensively, FAMU was led by Devan Roberts as he collected seven tackles (5 solos, 2 asst), while Padric Scott, Brandon Hepburn, and Michael Ducre finished with six tackles each.
