Tigers run past Rattlers 27-7

The Big Blue Tigers of Tennessee State held the Rattlers to just 156 yards of total offense, forcing two turn overs -- with one being returned for a touchdown-- in route to a 27-7 victory at Bragg Stadium this afternoon.  To compound matters, the Rattlers were just 2 of 12 on third down conversions the afternoon.

TSU senior running back Tim Broughton ran 124 yard on 17 carries, compiling nearly as many yards as the Rattler offense. Sophomore Telvin Hooks, for the Tigers, was not far behind, gaining 77 yeards on the ground on 12 attempts.

The Rattlers, now 1-1 on the season, stay at home this week to take on the Samford University Bulldogs of the Southern Conference.
