The Rattler men’s basketball team will have its home opener of the 2014-2015 tonight hosting the University of North Florida Ospreys at the
Alfred Lawson Jr. Multipurpose Center Teaching Gymnasium. Tipoff is 7:00 p.m.
First year Head Coach Byron Samuels and the Rattlers are looking to pick
up their first win of the season. The Rattlers come into the game with an 0-9 overall record.
The Rattlers' 14 man roster is composed of entirely of new
players. Six available returnees from last year team all transferred from the university after former Head Coach
Clemon Johnson was dismissed and the program was sacked with Academic Progress Rate (APR) sanctions by the National
Collegiate Athletic Association, which made the team ineligible for post-season play.
