The Medal of Honor Bowl, which will be televised live
nationally by the NBC Sports Network, is a premier all-star game the features
the nation’s top draft-eligible college football players as projected for the National
Football League Draft. The game honors the Medal of Honor recipients and the
game’s beneficiaries, the Medal of Honor Museum Foundation, disabled veterans
and wounded warriors.
Johnson, a native of Tallahassee, will be a member of the
American team. He led the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference in interceptions
during his final season with five total, returning them for 79 yards. On the
field, he has been a big playmaker, including his signature 63-yard punt return
for a touchdown against Savannah State in 2013. In 2014, Johnson took on the
task of guarding the opponents’ top receiver in each game.
Back in December, Johnson also played Football Championship
Subdivision (FCS) Senior Bowl in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
