| Judith Kibii (#49) has won MEAC Athlete of the Week for two
consecutive weeks. |
Junior distance runner Judith Kibii has been honored with
her second consecutive cross country athlete of the week award for her
performance at the North Florida Cross Country Invitational.
Kibii, finished fourth overall at the North Florida Cross
Country Invitational 3K race. She finished in 10:39.20. Last week, Kibii earned
the honor as well for her performance at the Jacksonville State Struts Cross
Country meet where she finished sixth overall. That run helped propel the Lady
Rattlers to a fourth place overall finish.
‘I am excited to see an elite athlete like Judy start off
strong. We have established goals for this season and her performance excels
both toward personal and team goals we set for her. It’s always encouraging as
a coach to have an athlete that performs well in competition as well as in the
classroom. She’s a model athlete that we expect even more out of in the
future,” said FAMU Director of Track Darlene Moore.
