FAMU Center wins Prudential Productivity Award

FAMU’s College of Education Candidate Empowerment Center team will receive a Prudential Productivity Award on June 5. 

The Prudential Productivity Award is a joint effort of the Florida TaxWatch, the Florida Council of 100, and the State of Florida, and honors state employees throughout Florida who has significantly increased productivity in delivering state services and products. In addition to honoring innovative and cost-saving accomplishments, the awards program recognizes the measurable contributions and added value of individuals and teams.

The Candidate Center offers teacher education candidates academic support and assists in their preparation for the General Knowledge Examination, Professional Education Examination, and Subject Area Examination of the Florida Teacher Certification Examination via practice exams, tutoring and print resources, which help improve course and pass rates. Pamela G. Thompson, is the director of the Candidate Empowerment Center.
