The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) recently named Isaiah Martin of Florida A&M University its men’s basketball Co-Defensive Player of the Week. He shares the honor with Cletrell Pope of Bethune-Cookman University.
Martin (7-0, Sr., C, Denver, Colo.) averaged 11.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocked shots and 1.0 steals while averaging 10.0 points as the Rattlers posted victories over North Carolina A&T State and North Carolina Central. In the win over NCAT, Martin had a 15-rebound, 12-point double-double with five blocked shots. Then, against Central, he had four blocked shots with eight rebounds, seven of which were defensive.
