Calvin Ashley, a former five-star recruit who initially signed with Auburn, on Monday was admitted to FAMU. If he enrolls, Ashley would be a major coup for Coach Willie Simmons' Rattlers.
Ashley played five games (one start) for the Tigers last year but missed the latter half of the season with an undisclosed medical issue. Ashley, would be immediately eligible to play for the Rattlers this season.
In May, Ashley took to twitter to announce that he was headed to Florida Atlantic, but now appears to be FAMU bound.
