The excitement and fever of the renew FAMU v. Southern U. rivalry has reached Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, with FAMU grad U.S. Reps Al Lawson and Cedric Richmond of Louisiana placing a friendly wager on Saturday’s football game. Lawson who is supporting the FAMU Rattlers bet Richmond a bushel of Apalachicola oysters and Gadsden County tomatoes from the Sunshine State for some of Louisiana’s famous crawfish and beignets.
"I'm confident come next week l will be celebrating a FAMU victory with some delicious crawfish and beignets," Lawson said.
