The FAMU Rattler football team rose to No. 17 in the STATS Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Top 25 poll following a 24-12 victory over MEAC foe Morgan State Saturday at Hughes Stadium in Baltimore. The Rattlers moved up 3 spots from No. 20 the prior week. FAMU also gained six spots it the FCS Coaches Poll coming in at the No. 17 spot.
The Rattlers remained steady as the nation’s top HBCU football team for the second week in row, holding the No. 1 spot in both the SBN Black College Football Poll, and the BOXTOROW Coaches Poll.
Florida A&M returns to action on Saturday as the Rattlers play host to Delaware State. Kickoff from Bragg Memorial Stadium is set for 4 p.m.
