FAMU was well represented as media mogul Tyler Perry christened his brand new 330-acre studio complex in the Fort McPherson section of Atlanta over the weekend. Rattlers Will Packer, Keisha Lance Bottoms, Andrew & R. Jai Gillum, were there alongside luminaries Oprah Winfrey, Beyoncé, her husband Jay-Z, Cicely Tyson, Sidney Poitier, director Ava DuVernay, and so many others to mark the huge celebration for the $250 million studio.
Perry purchased part of the decommissioned Fort McPherson in 2015. His new studio is now one of the largest in the country.
