Johnathan Jones, a FAMU MBA graduate with a double major in business administration and supply chain management, who just last semester was awarded a $10,000 fellowship as a part of the inaugural class of Hennessy Fellows has accepted a full-time position with Louis Vuitton as a Distribution Planning Manager. Jones finished his MBA and MS in Supply Chain Management this earlier this month with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Jones, an Orlando, FL native, will be in charge of supplying leather goods, accessories, perfume and packaging for 25 Louis Vuitton stores across the USA. Louis Vuitton is a part of the Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy luxury goods company.
The Hennessy Fellows is a new graduate program for scholars pursuing a master’s degree at historically Black colleges or universities (HBCU) in the U.S. This initiative is an outgrowth of a $10 million partnership between Hennessy and the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. The aim of the program is to annually prepare about 10 HBCU graduate students with the knowledge, skillset and confidence needed to break barriers in the corporate world.
“Jones said he and his other fellows have received great mentorship, networking opportunities and the keys to navigate in the corporate environment during the Hennessy Fellows experience,” Jones said.
“This program is really put us in a position of power and putting us where we should be,” he added.
