John Holcombe a 6'4, 265 lb, three-star quarterback coming out of high school, who initially signed with Kansas State University, announced via Twitter this morning that he will be transferring to FAMU next season.
Holcombe had multiple Power Five offers coming out of Humble, Texas. At Kansas he spent most of his time battling Nick Ast for role as starter at quarterback for the Wildcats in 2019. Holcombe played in just three games during his redshirt freshman year, completing just one pass for nine yards and rushing for 71 yards on 13 carries. Most of that action occurred against Bowling Green in Week Two.
Holcombe will likely have three years of eligibility remaining.
