199 people were tested for COVID-19, Saturday, at FAMU’s Bragg Stadium according to Bond Community Health Clinic and FAMU officials. The site is set up to conduct 200 test over the next 13 consecutive days, through May 9th.

“Today was a grand success. We didn’t have any catastrophes or emergencies,” said Dr. Temple Robinson, MD, CEO of Bond Community Health Center.

Testing at the site begins daily at 9 a.m. and will remain open until the staff conducts 200 tests. Of Florida’s four walk-up four sites – one in Duval and two in Broward County – the FAMU location was the only one to reach its testing capacity Saturday, according Lt. Col. Michael Adler of the Florida National Guard.

Appointment are not necessary, however, making an appointment by calling 850-404-6399 will make the testing process faster for the client.

No physician referral is needed and one does not need to be symptomatic for testing. The testing cost is free.
