FAMU basketball adds 6'9 forward to the fold

FAMU head men's basketball coach Robert McCullum, today, announced the signing of Florida State College in Jacksonville forward Johnny Brown.  
 
Brown, who is 6’9” tall played one season at FSCJ., graduated from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, Fla. He will enter FAMU as a sophomore and with three years of eligibility remaining.
 
At FSCJ, Brown averaged 12.3 points, 8.4 rebounds and made 54 3-pointers. He shot 47.4 percent from the floor, 43.5 percent from behind the three-point line and 75.6 percent from the foul line.
 
 "We're elated with Johnny's decision to further his academic, and basketball career at FAMU," McCullum said. "Johnny's size, ability to rebound, and outstanding offensive skills will help enable us to be more versatile and productive offensively."
 
Brown chose Florida A&M over rival Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) school Bethune-Cookman.
