Vincent Evans, a 2011 FAMU political science graduate, has been tapped by the incoming Biden-Harris administration to serve as the Deputy Director of the Office of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs, according to a statement released by the transition team.
Evans most recently served as Political Director to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris on the Biden-Harris Campaign during the general election. He also served as Southern Political Director to President-elect Biden during the primary season.
Prior to joining the campaign, Evans served on the senior staff of U.S. Representative Al Lawson of Florida, his longtime mentor, with a portfolio that focused on state and local issues. Before his role in the Congress, Evans worked as the Chief Aide to Tallahassee City Commissioner Curtis Richardson, after running his successful campaign.
Born and raised in Florida, Evans attended Florida A&M University, the nation’s highest ranked public HBCU.
