FAMU baseball nearly pulled off a weekend sweep of North Carolina A&T, but a two-run home run by the Aggies in extra innings yesterday lifted the Aggies to a 11-9 win in the series finale.
FAMU (21-28, 15-9 MEAC) won the series opener on Friday7-6 and the double header on Saturday with a 2-1 win in the opener and a 7-6 win in the second game. The Aggies escaped the four-game series with a 18-32 overall record and 13-15 in the MEAC.
Because of COVID-19 pandemic the only taking the top two teams from each division will be able to advance to the MEAC Championship May 19-23 in Norfolk, Va. The Rattlers travel to Durham May 13-15 to face NCCU in a four-game make up series.
