Scott qualifies for NCAA Track Championships in OR

Jaylyn Scott , a member of the FAMU Track Team, has qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, OR.   

Scott, a junior from Bainbridge, GA, ran a personal best of 50:36  in the the 400-meter hurdles which was good enough to finish third in the quarterfinal round of the NCAA East Preliminary  (May 28) in Jacksonville, FL.    
 
The time shaved milliseconds off his previous personal record (50.71). The men's 400-meter hurdles semifinals are scheduled for Wednesday, June 9, at 7 p.m.
