FAMU coaches tour nets an additional $148,000 from stops in Tallahassee and Orlando

Tallahassee Strike Tour

FAMU alumni and supporters from Tallahassee and Orlando contributed a total of $148,800 to the Rattler Athletic Fund during recent stops of the "Strike Tour 21" coaches tour.  Tallahassee Rattlers donated $121,200, while Orlando alumni kicked in $27,500.

The initial leg of the “Strike Tour 21” kicked off in June with stops in Jacksonville, Polk Co, and Tampa  which raised a total of $65,510.

The added support is critical to the overall success of the athletic program.  The additional funding will be used for scholarships, to expand academic support for student athletes, enhance sports performance and nutrition, recruiting, and enhance facilities. 
 
The tour will continue over the course of the summer with stops in Chicago, Ill., Washington D.C., Dallas, Texas, Houston, Texas, South Florida, and Atlanta.
