Former FAMU football great and Ken Riley, who went on to have a stellar career as a cornerback with the Cincinnati Bengals, will receive a long-deserved recognition. The Bengals announced on Thursday that Riley will be a part of the Bengals inaugural Ring of Honor.

“It was always something in the back of his mind (that) it would be great for Cincinnati to have something like that,” said Ken Riley II.

The honor will take place on Sept. 30 during halftime of the Bengals Thursday Night Football game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

“Hopefully this can something that can propel him to hopefully the Pro Football Hall of Fame …, said Riley II. There have been so many Bengals greats that are deserving of not only the Ring of Honor but that Pro Football Hall of Fame.”
