Boxtorow sports has the FAMU Rattler football team ranked at No. 3 in both its preseason coaches and media HBCU football polls. The Rattlers come in behind No. 1 ranked Alabama A&M Bulldogs and No. 2 ranked North Carolina A&T Aggies.
Neither the Rattlers or Aggies did not played football in 2020 or the spring, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. And, both teams moved to new conferences with the Rattlers moving from the MEAC to the SWAC, while the Aggies will play their first season in the Big South this fall.
