After starting the season off at No. 1 in EPSN's Undefeated blog ranking of HBCU Bands, the FAMU Marching 100 finished the season in the No. 2 spot, behind the Norfolk State Spartan Legion in the final poll for the 2021 marching season.

The 100rd finished the season as the highest ranked SWAC band finishing ahead of No. 3 Southern, No 4. Bethune-Cookman, and No. 5 Jackson State.

The 100rd’s overall score was weighted down by its low auxiliary score (flags) where it was ranked as 11th best.  The 100rd finished among the top three in all the other categories – No. 2 drum majors; No. 3 musicality, tied No. 1 percussion, and No. 3 for picture/drill design, but fell outside the top 10 in the auxiliary category.  Since the 100rd doesn't have dancers, that left the flags to be scored.

The 100rd, had completely fallen out of the Undefeated’s  Top 10 ranking of HBCU division 1 bands in its November 18 poll.

The Marching 100, however, remains in demand having recently filmed a new national  television commercial for Pepsi-Cola, and appearing on pregame festivities for the NFL's 2021 Kickoff game featuring the Tampa Bay Bucs vs the Dallas Cowboys. The band was also selected to perform at the 2022 Senior Bowl in February.
