The FAMU men's basketball team, who shares a portion of the top spot in the SWAC basketball standings, looks to extend their win streak to eight this afternoon, Feb. 5 at 4:30 p.m. in a nationally televised game against defending SWAC Champ Texas Southern University in the Al Lawson Center.
NBA TV will televise four live NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Basketball Games featuring Historically Black Universities in honor of Black History Month on back-to-back weekends –FAMU vs Texas Southern, Saturday, Feb. 5 and Grambling vs Texas Southern on Saturday, Feb. 12.
The FAMU Lady Rattlers will take on the TxSo Tigers at 2 pm also on NBA TV. Pregame, halftime, and postgame studio coverage will be led by Stephanie Ready starting at 1:30 p.m. She will be joined by analysts Renee Montgomery and Sam Mitchell.
