"I'm extremely happy for MJ," said head coach Robert McCullum. "His selection as SWAC Player of the Year speaks volumes about his work ethic and consistency as he progressed from MEAC Freshman of the Year to SWAC Player of the Year.
Randolph has had an impact in all aspects of the Rattlers’ game this season and led the SWAC in points per game, 3rd in field goal percentage, 4th in assists per game, 5th in steals per game, 5th in defensive rebounds per game, and 9th in rebounds per game. Randolph scored 30+ points three times and 20+ points 14 times. He also had two double-doubles scoring 22 points and ten rebounds versus Texas Southern and 21 points, ten assists, and nine rebounds versus LeMoyne-Owen.

Randolph earned a weekly SWAC honor five times this season, more than any SWAC player.
