If you’ve ever spent time with a FAMU scholarship recipient, you know the power of your investments in action — a new generation of leaders who embody the best of what define us as a FAMUly.

FAMU's 3rd annual university-wide day of giving, 1887 Strikes, kicked off yesterday and concludes today around 5 pm ish.  Rattler supporters worldwide are invited through social media, email and on-campus events to participate in the 1887 Strikes Day by giving their support either financially or by helping spread the word via their own social media channels. During the nearly 31-hour period, Rattlers and friends have the opportunity to support students, academic units, athletics, or any number of campus projects.

For 1887 Strikes Day 2022, you are encouraged you to choose the college or school or affinity program (such as athletics, Marching 100, Choir or the Essential Theatre) that you have a personal connection or a project that speaks to your passion.  You can support emergency scholarships, access to classroom room resources, and innovation across campus.
So make an impact today and make difference. Show us your Strike by giving!

Matching gift challenge
Your gift today could have added impact, Frank Baker, co-founder and managing partner of Siris, a private equity firm, has agreed to match every dollar donated during the The 1887 Strikes Campaign up to $300,000.  So if you give $150.00, your gift will actually be $300.00 because of Mr. Baker's match.
