FAMU graphic design students win big at ADDY Awards

A team of School of Journalism and Graphic Communication (SJGC) students and instructors won 26 awards at the 2022 American Advertising Federation Local ADDY Awards for District 4 which included all of Florida and the Caibbean.  
 
The team comprised of Professor Anosh Gill, graphics division chair, and Professor Carlos Miranda, along with ten students --Nadia TseggaBriana YewellEmmanual ChildsJaylan RawlingsJalonda MartinezJanece MartialTravon M. MinceyAhmad RaglandRabi ElaborOsayiuwamen Omoregbee, and Brittney George-- took home awards in both the student and professional categories. 

The students are “part of teaching is when professors and students work together outside class we can create amazing campaigns and ideas. Teaching doesn’t stop outside the classroom and this is the best example of that,” Gill said.

“It was exciting to collaborate with a few peers and professors to bring ideas to life,” said Tsegga , a senior graphic design student. “I am incredibly proud of [us] for this accomplishment!”
