Rattlers host Hornets in crucial SWAC battle this weekend

The FAMU Rattler baseball team (22-23, 15-6 SWAC) will host a weekend series with SWAC East leaders Alabama State (24-18, 15-4 SWAC) beginning this afternoon with first pitch scheduled for 5 pm (ET).  The Rattlers are currently a half game behind the Hornets in the SWAC East.

When the two teams met earlier this season, the Hornets won all three games including 16-0 in the series opener, before winning 7-2 (game two), and 7-1 (game three).  

 

The series continues Saturday with a 2 pm (ET) first pitch and a Sunday 1 pm (ET) start,

The Rattlers have won five consecutive games entering the weekend, including sweep Mississippi Valley State in conference play on the road last weekend.
