FAMU baseball (24-23, 17-6 SWAC) won both games in a Saturday doubleheader against Alabama State at Moore-Kittles Field in Tallahassee, winning game one 7-5 and game two 12-5. The victories avenged an earlier season shellacking the Rattlers received in the two teams earlier season meeting were FAMU was outscored 30-3 in the three game series in Montgomery, AL. The wins also moved FAMU into first place in the SWAC Eastern Division.
The Rattlers and the Hornets meet again today at 1 pm for the e final game in the series.
Update: The Rattlers completed the series sweep defeating the Hornets 7-6 yesterday.
