FAMU grad Aubrey Perry, receives $75,000 in venture capital funding for his Orlando-based technology company, Revoix LLC, which recently launched the Crackem app a contactless marketing platform geared toward Florida’s growing craft beer breweries.

The Crackem app launched in 2020, but a $50,000 check in 2021 from Seedfunders, followed by a $25,000 investment from Orlando-based StarterStudio.  The infusion of cash has helped Crackem to beef up its  marketing and sales efforts.   For example, in March,Crackem, sponsored the Florida Brewers Guild Craft Beer Festival in Tampa, one of the state’s marquee beer festivals.

Much like the TV show Shark Tank, the funding came along with expert business advice to help Perry grow his business and seek the next, larger round of funding.
“We wouldn’t be where we are and have access to some of the resources we do without these fund,” Perry said.

Perry was also able to bring on a co-founder, and he plans to fill some sales roles in June.

The company wants to scale further, and Perry said the mentorship from Seedfunders prepares him to begin to seek more capital this year. “We know we’ll have to raise a significant amount of money to scale this nationwide.”

Perry, a Tallahassee native, is the son of former FAMU College of Arts & Sciences Dean, Dr. Aubrey M. Perry, Jr.
