Jax Rattlers contribute nearly $25,000 to athletics on first stop of '22 "Strike Tour"

Interim AD Michael Smith, along with Football Coach Willie Simmons and Volleyball Coach Gokhan Yilmaz took to the road Friday for the first stop on the 2022 “Strike Tour” fundraising event in Jacksonville, FL.

 
“We’re excited to finally get out and connect in person with our fans,” said interim athletic director Smith. “We love our fan base and we love sharing our vision for FAMU athletics, whenever and where ever.”  
 
“The ‘Strike Tour’ is a great opportunity for some of our coaches to visit with our loyal supporters and FAMU alumni. We hope this event will help build momentum as we head into the 2022-23 year.”   
 
The event raised close to $25,000 for FAMU athletics.
