FAMU’s star edge rusher and 2023 NFL prospect Isaiah Land will be eligible, along with starting right tackle Cam Colvin, all-conference defensive back BJ Bohler and reserve wide receiver Nick Dixon to play in Sunday’s Orange Blossom Classic, thanks to appeals approved by the NCAA on Friday.

Land and Covin had the assistance of attorneyTom Mars, who represented them in restoring their eligibility.

With the additions,  FAMU is down to just eight ineligible players that won't be active for Sunday's game — a significant trim from the initial 26 who were forced to sit out in its Week 0 opener at North Carolina.

With key pieces returning, the initial game plans may now have to change for both FAMU and Jackson State as both teams both look to get a leg up in the SWAC East race.
