The FAMU volleyball team’s 24 game SWAC win streak came to a halt Sunday afternoon as the Rattlers suffered a 3-1 loss to visiting Alabama State.
It was the teams first conference loss in over a year (Oct. 17, 2021).

Florida A&M has another chance to defend its home court Monday in a 6 p.m. matchup against Alabama A&M.

The loss knocked the Rattlers (15-12/12-1 SWAC) from first place to second place in the SWAC volleyball standings.

On the bright side, the match saw Dominique Washington, a graduate student and outside hitter, enter the school's recorded book as number 10th in  all-time kills.  Washington recorded a season high 27 kils in the game.

The Rattlers have another chance to restart their SWAC win streak tonight at 6 p.m. when Alabama A&M pays a visit to the Al Lawson Center.
