FAMU ROTC alumni raised more than $26,000 to create an endowed scholarship in honor of a fallen member the Rattler Battalion ---
Te-Andre Brown.  Brown, who was a senior business administration student at FAMU, died on March 15, 2020, while trying to rescue another swimmer in distress. He was decribed as a  brave and selfless young man who would do anything to make sure that the well-being of others was put before his own.”

Brown’s mother, Andrea Jackson, and his younger sister, Adriana Williams, stood  with President Larry Robinson, Ph.D., his wife Sharon Robinson, and members of the Rattler Battalion alumni displaying a $26,250 check showing the amount raised by Rattler Battalion National Alumni Association for the Te-Andre Brown Endowed Scholarship Fund.

“This endowed scholarship will ensure his legacy lives on forever and will have a major impact on a cadet’s college education at FAMU,” said Lt. Col. (Retired) Ricardo Kinsey, a member of the Rattler Battalion Alumni Association
