The Rattler baseball team lost its season, and home, opening series over the weekend after getting swept by the Eastern Illinois Panthers (3-0, 0-0 OVC) Moore-Kittles Field in Tallahassee. FAMU (0-3, 0-0 SWAC) dropped Friday’s game 8-7 in 10 innings, Saturday’s game 4-3, and Sunday’s game by 3-0 decision.
The Rattlers host Mercer University for a two game series at Moore-Kittles Field on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Softball team winless in La.
The Rattler softball team was winless in five attempts at the the Mardi Gras Mambo Softball Tournament in Youngsville, La.
The Rattlers loss two games Friday falling to Houston Christian University 1-3 and Northwestern State University 0-9. FAMU dropped two games Saturday to Nicholls State 2-12 and Louisiana Tech 1-5.
Sunday,Rattlers closed the weekend out with a 0-9 loss to Southeast Louisiana .
