Alaura Kimes, the daughter of reality tv star Heavenly Kimes, DDS, who goes by the name of “Dr. Heavenly” on the popular Bravo TV show Married to Medicine.
Alaura recently announced her decision to attend FAMU to major in biology/pre-medicine. Her mom “Dr Heavenly” is a leading Atlanta dentist, who specializes in cosmetic dentistry, veneers, full arch, and single implants.
"Dr. Heavenly" earned a bachelors in biology with minors in chemistry and military science from FAMU and went on graduate in the top of her class from Meharry Medical College Medical College in Nashville. Her husband, of twenty years, Damon Kimes, MD, earned degrees in psychology and chemistry from Case Western Reserve University and his M.D. from Meharry Medical College.

Her mom took to Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s decision to attend FAMU by posting a video of Alaura with a FAMU penant saying “thank you, God! I am proud to announce that my baby girl will follow in my footsteps and spend her next four years at My Alma Mater, THEE #1 Public HBCU: Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University, as a Biology Pre-Med Major!
The incoming first-year student announced the news on Instagram when sharing high school graduation photos.
“With 11 days left until my high school graduation ceremony, I pleased to announce that I will spend the four years on The Highest of Seven Hills! I also heard the pretty girls go to FAMU,” Alaura added.
