The FAMU baseball team, the No. 3 seed in the SWAC East, defeated Prairie View, the No. 4 seed in the SWAC West, 1-0 in the elimination game in the SWAC Tournament.
Then, yesterday afternoon, FAMU faced No. 1 seed SWAC East, and defending SWAC baseball champs, Alabama State and won 8-6.
It was the Rattlers and Hornets second match up in the tournament in less than 24 hrs. This time, however, it was the Rattlers who rallied from a 3-1 deficit to score seven runs in the seventh inning to knock off the Hornets 8-6 Friday.
The Rattlers and the Hornets will face off again at noon today for the right to advance to the SWAC baseball championship game.
