FAMU track coach has his work cut out for him

FAMU’s men’s track team finished 11^th out of 12 teams at this past week’s SWAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, while the women’s team placed 7^th out of 12.  The men accumulated a total of 15 points, while the women earned 63.   
 
Alabama State won the men’s championship with 143 points, and Prairie View claimed the women’s title with 159 points.  
 
Track coach Garfield Ellenwood II, took over the helm as Director of Track & Field and Cross Country on January 3^rd of this year.   He is likely to begin the process of immediately rebuilding the program this summer.
