Sixteen talented FAMU journalism students are gaining hands-on experience in New York City this summer working as interns at Disney owned media outlets including ABC News, Good Morning America, The View, Nightline, ABC 20/20, and ABC GMA3.
The students are a part of FAMU’s first cadre of Disney Storytellers Scholars made possible by a $1 million grant from the Walt Disney Company to the School of Journalism and Graphic Communications. Disney hopes the grant will help to empower the next generation of Black journalists, news and media executives while also building on the rich legacy of creativity and innovation that FAMU has cultivated for decades.
