Reggie Perry named interim associate provost for faculty affairs

Reginald Perry
, Ph.D. , the associate dean for student affairs and curriculum in the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering, has be named the interim associate provost for academic and faculty affairs.  He will replace Genyne H. Boston who was recently left the university, after 27-years, to accept a job as provost and executive vice president of Edward Waters University.  
 
Perry hold bachelors, masters, and his doctoral degrees in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech University and been with FAMU since 1989. His research interest include field programmable logic devices, CMOS based optoelectronic, and engineering education .  
 
The associate provost for academic and faculty affairs position at FAMU was created in July 2015. The position is primarily responsible for overseeing new faculty orientation and faculty training; the evaluation of teaching; faculty development; reappointment and promotion for TPAC, research, and library faculty; faculty leaves; and processing /responding to faculty appeals and grievances, and allegations of faculty misconduct.  Perry began the new role on July 1st.
