Despite the hostile environment, the Rattlers displayed remarkable resilience, clinching a resounding 9-5 victory. The win solidified the Rattlers firm grip on first place in the SWAC East division, boasting an impressive 16-3 record. On the other hand, the Tigers find themselves in fourth place in the division standings, tallying a 9-10 record.
Meanwhile, back in Tallahassee, the Lady Rattlers of FAMU were equally formidable as they took on Alabama A&M in the opening game of their three-game series. The Lady Rattlers wasted no time asserting their dominance, hammering the Bulldogs with a commanding 9-1 triumph. The victory helped the Lady Rattlers extended their lead in the SWAC East standings, boasting an outstanding 17-4 record. In contrast, the Bulldogs of Alabama A&M find themselves in fifth place in the division standings.
